The Southern Medical Association is a large scale WordPress Multisite installation with over 10,000 user accounts and over 50 individual sites. It use the s2Member plugin for member signup, registration and subscriptions with Paypal Payflow Pro for on site SSL protected payments.
We choose a wordperss framework, Suffusion, for building skins so that other developers and Child Site owners could create unique custom sites without editing php, HTML or CSS.
